Allow us to introduce ourselves, welcome to "1THS", Cowbridge.

We're an independent freehouse serving up the best cask ale, craft keg, cider, wine & spirits from Wales, the UK & beyond... and as part of 'The Coach Brewing Co' family, you'll always find some of our own brews on tap.

With nooks & crannies aplenty and a glorious courtyard, you'd be forgiven for thinking our little pub had been a Cowbridge boozer for centuries, but it actually wasn't until 2017 that this beautiful place became a hostelry when we converted it from a former Thai restaurant. Now we're proud to be one of the best pubs in town, but definitely with the lowest ceilings, so please mind your head.

We boast a rotational selection of 4 cask ales on draught alongside an array of 5 craft keg lines, not to mention cider, wine & spirits of course.

You'll also find we pour arguably the best pint of Guinness in Wales.

We don't serve food so if our selection of crisps & nuts aren't enough to soak up the beer,  you're welcome to bring in anything from the Cowbridge takeaway scene... or pop up to our sister pub The Cross Inn for one of their street food pop-ups.

  • What are your opening times?

    Just like our sister pubs The Coach and The Cross Inn, we’re open 7 days a week, 11:30am til 11pm.

  • Are you serving food?

    Unfortunately we don't have a kitchen, our focus is on award winning beers and drinks, with a sprinkling of crisps and nuts. But if you're peckish and want to grab something from elsewhere in Cowbridge to eat here, that's cool with us... We recommend the likes of Elephant & Bun in the daytime and Farnham's in the evening.

  • Are you child friendly?

    We’re family friendly and under 18s are permitted until 9pm.

  • Do you serve coffee?

    Unfortunately we don’t have a coffee machine… But we do have a plethora of non-alcoholic drinks available, from traditional soft drinks through to 0.0% Guinness and a regular non-alc beer on draught.

  • Are you dog friendly?

    Yes absolutely! Dogs are very welcome and we have treats and water for them, just ask.
